MINI-SOLO RIG

Presenting our "Mini-Solo Rig" from MULTICAM.VIDEO — a lightweight, wireless, capture-first system designed for creators who want cinematic results without cables, racks, or visual clutter. This is the most nimble expression of our solo philosophy: fewer cameras, fewer constraints, and total freedom to work in tight spaces with confidence.

Built around four mirrorless cameras, the Mini-Solo Rig uses the same trusted tools found throughout our cinematic lineup — Canon M6 Mark II and Sony RX10 Mark II cameras, configured to suit the production. The Canons offer interchangeable-lens flexibility for expressive framing and shallow depth of field shaped by real glass, while the Sonys deliver their signature 24–200mm equivalent zooms with fast f/2.8 apertures, producing beautiful color, reach, and fluid coverage in a compact footprint. Regardless of configuration, the emphasis remains the same: great glass, clean sensors, and images that feel intentional and alive.

True to the Solo moniker, there is no rack, no live switching, no overlays, just solid slimmed down infrastructure. This rig is built for capture — not control rooms. It’s a half-size companion to our Cine-Solo Rig, designed for productions where mobility and simplicity matter as much as image quality.

Wireless monitoring and secondary capture are handled discreetly via the Sling Studio system, allowing all cameras to be monitored and managed from a wirelessly connected iPad. This eliminates cable runs, speeds up deployment, and keeps the shooting environment calm and uncluttered — especially valuable in tight quarters, intimate performances, or solo-artist setups where traditional infrastructure would quickly overwhelm the space. Private livestreams are still available with this rig as well.

Audio is fully covered — by default. The Mini-Solo Rig includes our Zoom F8 portable multitrack recording system, delivering up to 8 isolated tracks of pristine audio, complete with embedded timecode and elegant iPad control. Dialogue, instruments, and room sound are captured cleanly and sync effortlessly with your footage in post. It’s a professional, proven solution that quietly does its job while you stay focused on the performance.

For productions that want to go deeper, clients can step up to our Avid Pro Tools Audio Workstation — expanding capture to up to 16 tracks, with advanced sound shaping, isolated stems, and a full Pro Tools project file delivered alongside your media. This option is ideal for music-forward projects, complex mic setups, or anyone who wants maximum control and polish in post. Whether you need straightforward capture or a fully sculpted audio foundation, we have your back.

Master footage is always preserved. Each camera records high-quality files directly to Atomos Ninja V and Blackmagic Video Assist monitors for redundancy and post-production confidence. At the same time, the Sling Studio system captures smaller-footprint ISO camera files to an external SSD — perfect for fast-turn social delivery, previews, and content that needs to move quickly without sacrificing quality.

The Mini-Solo Rig is capture-and-move by design — fast to deploy, effortless to operate, and built to disappear once the cameras roll, allowing full focus on the work itself. This approach has already proven itself in demanding real-world environments, including a live performance by Sheila E. alongside the Escovedo Family for a Latin Percussion product launch at Center Staging — captured using this very system and available to view in our portfolio.

This is cinematic capture for creators who value clarity over clutter, flexibility over formality, and intention over excess.

Cinematic by nature. Minimal by design.
