This is modern production stripped to its essentials: fast setup, smart cameras, and confident results in small studios, rehearsal rooms, podcasts, and intimate performance spaces.

At the heart of the MINI-PTZ RIG are four OBSBOT Tail Air PTZ cameras — agile, wireless-ready cameras that blend the convenience of PTZ operation with AI-driven intelligence. These cameras capture smooth, high-frame-rate motion, support auto-tracking, gesture control, and subject recognition, and allow presenters and performers to move naturally while the cameras keep pace. It’s hands-off coverage when you want it, and precise framing when you don’t.

Compared to our larger PTZ systems, the Tail Air cameras trade extreme optical reach for speed, flexibility, and footprint. While they don’t match the long-throw zoom of our Fomako PTZ cameras, their compact size makes them ideal for tight rooms, desktop studios, podcast stages, and creative environments where larger cameras would feel intrusive. For many clients, this tradeoff is effectively invisible — the results simply look polished, intentional, and alive.

All video switching is handled by the rock-solid Roland V-1HD Plus, a four-channel hardware switcher known for reliability, tactile control, and zero-nonsense operation. No touchscreens. No buried menus. Just dependable switching that keeps production focused and stress-free. This choice reflects the spirit of the rig itself: simple tools that do their job exceptionally well.

Audio is tailored to the production. Clients may opt for our Zoom F8 portable multitrack recorder, capturing up to 8 isolated tracks with embedded timecode — perfect for dialogue, music, or hybrid productions that need clean sync in post. For more demanding sessions, the rig can be upgraded to our Avid Pro Tools Audio Workstation, expanding capture to 16 tracks, delivering isolated stems, advanced sound shaping, and a full Pro Tools session file for maximum flexibility and polish.

The MINI-PTZ RIG is designed as a core system with room to grow. Clients needing additional angles can expand coverage using our camera add-ons, including b-roll and specialty camera options, without committing to a larger base rig. This keeps the system approachable while remaining scalable.
